Pato Com Mel (Duck with Honey) is an interesting and unique Portuguese dish enjoyed by all for many years, due to its unique taste in combination with honey, a sweet staple of a Portuguese diet.
Duck with Honey
Ingredients:
2 Duck Breasts
3 Sweet Onions cut up
1 tablespoon Olive oil
2 tablespoon Honey
1 cup of balsamic vinegar
Salt as needed
Preparation:
1)Season the duck with a little salt.
2)In a skillet, heat the oil leave.
3)Following the hot oil, place the duck skin side down and fry gently for 10 minutes.
4)Past the 10 minutes, turn the duck and fry another 10 minutes.
5)Once fried, remove the duck to a plate.
6)With the fat left, sauté the onions for 15 minutes.
7)Meanwhile, cut the duck into thin slices and arrange on a platter. After 15 minutes with already braised onions, add the honey.
8)Stir and fry 1 minute.
9)Finally, add the balsamic vinegar, stir and simmer everything 30 seconds.
10)Sprinkle the duck with the sauce.
