Prego no Pão

Prego no Pão has been the most popular and widely eaten sandwich in Portuguese cuisine for many years. Cavacas (Poppover Dessert)

This Cavacas recipe took quite a bit of effort to get from my aunt’s recipe book as it has been a secret family recipe for generations, and even though it is quite simple, it is one of my favorite desserts. Everytime time my aunt makes these my sweet tooth gets excited and I always end up eating one too many!
