Eel Stew (Ensopado de Enguias)

Ensopado de Enguias is an Portuguese Eel Stew which is very traditional and one of the more unique dishes in Portuguese cuisine. It is one of the most signature dishes all throughout Portugal, especially in the north near the coast line, as well as more south in Ribatejo. In Ribatejo the eels are most typically caught swimming upstream in the enormous Tagus river. This dish combines the wonderful and unique taste of the eels in a rich and flavorful stew.

Portuguese Chicken livers, or Figados de Galinha, are a classic traditional Portuguese dish. Our variation of Figados de Galinha have a very unique and rich flavor along with a spicy kick with the combination of Portuguese spices and ingredients like piri piri and paprika. They just need to be sauteed and are very simple and easy to make. These are perfect to serve as a side or accompaniment to a dish. They are also very healthy and rich in nutrition. Enjoy.

Queijadas da Graciosa

Queijadas da Graciosa are a unique and traditional version of the popular Portuguese pastry known as queijadas, originating in the island of Graciosa in the Azores. These are one of the most unique queijadas there are and one of my absolute favorite desserts, because of their truly unique crunchy texture, shape, and wonderful flavor. Just the sight of them gives me joy and it is difficult to just eat one.
