This Cavacas recipe took quite a bit of effort to get from my aunt’s recipe book as it has been a secret family recipe for generations, and even though it is quite simple, it is one of my favorite desserts. Everytime time my aunt makes these my sweet tooth gets excited and I always end up eating one too many! Cavacas are a very traditional Portuguese recipe for a cupcake style pastry and with the simple ingredients needed to make them they have been made by many Portuguese for centuries.
