The Portuguese have long used almonds in many traditions from weddings and christenings to gifts at Easter time. This recipe of Amêndoas uses Portuguese inspired spices to make delicious Portuguese toasted almonds, greats for snacks and even a small tapas style appetizer. Try it out and tell us what you think.
2 cups of blanched almonds.
2 teaspoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
1) Toss all of the ingredients in a large bowl making sure to cover each almond with spices and olive oil
2) Bake on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees until they become golden brown.
3) Serve and enjoy.
